The GPC submitted a joint statement with ALE (Spanish Legume Association) urging the EU to exempt U.S. pulses from tariffs it is considering. The statement highlights the economic importance of U.S. pulse exports to the EU, using the case of Spain’s reliance on U.S. Pardina lentils as an example. The U.S. provides more than half of Spain’s lentil imports.
